A treat for the Holidays
It’s the holiday season again! Time for sparkles and lights everywhere, for Christmas carols and winter songs, and for pine trees, parties and a partridge in a pear tree. The sights and sounds of the holidays bring back feelings of warmth and magic. And the smells and tastes are just as good. There’s nothing better than a Christmas cookie, in my mind.
One of my favorite parts of Christmas is the tastes of the season. I have a major sweet tooth, and I love to bake. What’s Christmas without baking cookies with your kids?? I have to share this with you. So I put together this cute little sample recipe book to share some of my family’s favorite Christmas treats.
Inside this sample recipe book, you’ll find five of my children’s favorite holiday cookie recipes. It’s exactly what you need to kickstart your seasonal baking! Yummy chocolate cookies, old-fashioned sugar cookies or oatmeal cookies, and my personal favorite — peanut-butter. (Nothing is better than a good peanut butter cookie, in my opinion.)
New Cookies for Santa?
If you leave out cookies for Santa, he’ll be sure to love one of these. Or maybe you’ll leave out a few different kinds. But whether you play the story of Santa or not in your family, these cookies are perfect for giving away. They make great gifts for neighbours, or to use in a cookie exchange.
Christmas is for Giving
These traditional recipes are sugary, fattening, and everything that they tell us we can’t have. They are born of your childhood memories. Guilt-inducing morsels of pleasure! But it’s Christmas. Why can’t we indulge?
So, nope, not gluten free, dairy free or any other kind of special diet (sorry!)… but they are free to use. I’m not charging a cent for this sampler. It’s simply my Christmas gift to you!
While this little sample recipe book is free to download, please share the link, not the download. Thanks!!
